Berkeley Square is situated a few minutes walk from Sauchiehall
Street, in what was a neglected part of Glasgow, halfway between
the City Centre and the West End.
The new development is a fast track design and build project for
City Business Parks. The scheme comprises four office blocks linked
by an elevated podium deck above secure basement parking for 111
. . .
The podium deck included
planters, with expansion joints and many pipe through details. There
was a requirement for a fully bonded, liquid waterproofing system.
The waterproofing had to be appropriate for the phased nature of
the work on a congested site during Winter/Spring time.
The Solution .
Waterproofing Membrane is a two-component, synthetic rubber, trowel
applied liquid waterproofing system that cures to form a resilient
fully bonded elastomeric sheet. Procor is seamless, primerless,
solvent free and is particularly suited to elevated deck and sub-structure
applications. Procor is recommended as an alternative to hot
applied bituminous wateroofing products because there is no fire
risk, there are no solvents and it requires no heating plant. It
can be trowel applied to damp and green concrete.
